Marina and Meline Ghazaryan
Founders of M.A.M
Marina Ghazaryan is the Founder and CEO of the M.A.M Educational Movement and a business management specialist with over 20 years of experience in local and international companies. Raised in Russia, she returned to Armenia in 2006 and has since co-founded several business initiatives. Marina is deeply committed to preserving and promoting Armenian heritage globally, recognizing that the preservation of the Armenian language is not just cultural but a matter of national security.
M.A.M Educational Movement encompasses three key initiatives: M.A.M Armenian Online School, M.A.M Academy for Professionals, and the M.A.M Educational Foundation. These initiatives are designed to safeguard, expand, and develop Armenian culture and identity across the world, fostering a deep connection between Armenians in the diaspora and their Homeland.
M.A.M Armenian Online School offers specially designed live-streamed lessons in Armenian language, history, and culture, enabling Armenians in the diaspora to stay connected to their roots, their culture. Since its inception in 2022, it has reached students from 23 countries, with a focus on nurturing Armenian identity and values among the younger generation.
M.A.M Academy provides training for diaspora teachers and support programs for Armenian schools and communities, ensuring they have the modern tools and methodologies necessary to teach the Armenian language and culture effectively.
M.A.M Foundation focuses on providing educational opportunities for children in vulnerable regions of the Armenian diaspora, ensuring they have access to quality education in the Armenian language and heritage.
Marina strongly believes that the Armenian language is a pillar of national identity, and its preservation and expansion are critical for maintaining a unified, resilient Armenian nation. By strengthening the connection between the Diaspora and Armenia through education, it will be possible to safeguard the future of the Armenian and Armenian people, ensuring that their cultural and linguistic heritage remains vibrant and inspiring for generations to come.
Meline Ghazaryan is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of the M.A.M educational movement. In 2010, Meline repatriated to Armenia from Russia and for 10 years held senior management positions in the largest banks of the Republic of Armenia, was the CEO of an international financial and credit organization. After the 44-day Artsakh war, Meline left her career in the financial sector and, together with her sister, established a unique platform for the preservation and dissemination of the Armenian language, culture and history in the Diaspora.
According to Meline, the creation of M.A.M was the imperative of the day. “We are facing the loss of our most important values: our language, culture and connection to our roots. We are facing the loss of our identity. So, just as our ancestors have cherished and passed on our centuries-old heritage to us for centuries at the cost of our lives, we should also strive to pass on these treasures to our next generations”.
