Description

Maurice Ward Group is a Supply Chain Management organization that was founded in 1968 in Dublin, Ireland. Currently, we operate 50 owned offices in 28 European countries.

We are looking for a motivated and eager individual to join our team as a Air Freight Pricing and Operations Assistant. This is a great opportunity for someone who is new to the industry and wants to learn the ropes in a supportive environment. You will work closely with a team to help manage customer requests, organize shipments, and ensure smooth communication between different departments.

Full training will be provided

Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Working hours: 11:00-20:00 (Mon-Fri)
Job Status: Permanent (3-month probation period)

Responsibilities

  • Handle transport and logistics operations including processing freight requests and coordinating end-to-endshipment execution.
  • Process RFQ and tender requests in collaboration with the team through current and third-party suppliers.
  • Identify optimal routes and competitive rates and communicate suitable solutions to customers.
  • Maintain close communication with customers to secure and manage shipments and provide proactivesupport throughout the shipping process
  • Liaise with carriers, airlines to arrange bookings and coordinate required shipping documentation.
  • Coordinate pickups and deliveries to ensure smooth shipment execution.
  • Prepare and review required shipping, pricing, and related documentation.
  • Maintain and update accurate shipment and pricing data in internal systems.
  • Maintain and monitor KPIs through monthly reporting procedures.
  • Handle other work related responsibilities

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of English both written and spoken
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
