First Aid Workshop
The aim of the workshop is to provide practical and mental tools to help feel ready in case of emergency.
It will take about 2 hours and it is divided into two parts:
- Part one: oversee various first aid techniques as well as prepping lists and mental tools and show an important 4-minute video prepared by the government to recognize the siren sound in case of air raid.
- Part two: split into groups to do exercises and practice what was learned.
About the trainers:
1- Saro Yesayan: registered nurse from Australia
2- Haïkouhi Oroudjian: psychologist who works at Oqni
3- Joyce Simonian: registered nurse from the US
4- Eva Minassian: current AVC volunteer (film producer working on developing the industry in Armenia, founder of the NGO Armenian National Film Commission) and activist. She traveled extensively and lived in many countries (i.e Mongolia, SE Asia, Alaska) where she had to rely on survival skills which is what prompted her to create this workshop to help people feel empowered and more confident in hard times.
